1. Different ingredients

410 stainless steel containing 0.15% carbon, chromium, 13% C 0.15 or less, Si 1.00 or less, Mn 1.00 or less, P acuities were 0.035, S 0.030 or less, Cr = 11.50 ~ 13.50.

The most important elements in 304 are Ni and Cr, but not limited to these two elements.According to the common judgment of the industry, as long as the Ni content is more than 8% and the Cr content is more than 18%, it can be considered as 304 stainless steel.

2. Different physical properties

Stainless steel 410 has high strength;Excellent machinability hardening after heat treatment; There are magnetic; Not suitable for severe corrosive environment.

304 stainless steel density 7.93 g/cm3, also known in the industry as 18/8 stainless steel.High temperature resistance 800℃, with good processing performance, high toughness characteristics.

3. Different labeling methods

Ferrite and martensitic stainless steels are 400 series, e.g. 405,410,443.

Austenitic stainless steels are labeled with 200 and 300 series numbers. For example, some of the more common austenitic stainless steels are labeled with 201, 304, 316, and 310.The labeling methods on the market include 06Cr19Ni10 and SUS304, among which 06Cr19Ni10 generally means national standard production, 304 generally means ASTM standard production, SUS304 means daily standard production.

4. Different uses

Stainless steel 410 has good corrosion resistance, machinability, general purpose blade, valve, mechanical parts, 1 class tableware (spoon, fork, knife, etc.).

304 stainless steel is suitable for food processing, storage and transportation. It has good machining performance and weldability.Plate heat exchanger, bellows, household articles (1, 2 type tableware, cabinet, indoor pipeline, water heater, boiler, bathtub), auto parts (windshield wiper, muffler, mold products), medical apparatus, building materials, chemistry, food industry, agriculture, Marine parts, etc.
